WAS EXCLUSIVE CIGAR SPONSOR AT MICHAEL JORDAN’S CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Altadis U.S.A.’s flagship Montecristo cigars shared the spotlight
at a paparazzi-worthy event as some of Hollywood’s hottest stars hit
the links with many of the world’s biggest sports names and about
100 lucky amateurs at the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Golf
Tournament.
Montecristo, considered by aficionados to be the world’s most revered
brand, was the exclusive on-site cigar at the event, which raised
over $500,000 for a variety of charities, and was held at the fabulous
Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas this past January 21st
through 24th.
Montecristo sets the standard for cigar quality, and tournament guests
got to enjoy four of the brand’s finest: the subtle and complex Montecristo
Classic, the elegant, sophisticated Montecristo White, the sensual,
fuller-bodied Montecristo Platinum and Montecristo Reserva Negra,
“the Montecristo of maduro cigars.”
It was an enviable weekend of golfing all day and partying at night.
Guests enjoyed a nice selection of world class Montecristo smokes
throughout the festivities. Celebrities in attendance included NFL
greats Lawrence Taylor, Richard Dent and Eric Dickerson as well as
NBA legend Julius Erving. NHL superstars Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull
and Mario Lemieux added to the star power as did actors Alan Thicke
and Aidan Quinn.
